Short version of what is in the contract: ISFN pays 30%-40% royalties on online sales (Amazon.com, etc.) and 10%-15% on traditional sales (book stores). 50-50 split on subsidiary rights. In the case of multiple authors, royalties are split equally (unless otherwise agreed upon). Payments will be made once a year, before the end of the month of April. In the case of anthologies, all rights revert to the author upon publication. All authors retain copyright.
Payment for writers appearing in the “Anthology” series: All writers receive a free copy of the book. In addition, five writers will be chosen during the final stages of the editing process and will receive 8% in royalties (40% divided among five). The five featured writers will also get an author interview that will be featured on our website and in the book.
